Allat is a pre-Islamic Arabian goddess who was primarily worshipped by the tribe of Quraysh in Mecca. She was considered a fertility goddess and was believed to provide abundance and prosperity to her worshippers. Allat was also associated with the underworld and was believed to assist in guiding the souls of the dead.
After the rise of Islam, the worship of Allat, along with the other pagan deities, was prohibited and replaced with the worship of Allah. The Islamic monotheistic view rejects the idea of multiple gods and instead emphasizes the worship of one supreme deity. Today, references to Allat can still be found in historical texts and archaeological evidence from the pre-Islamic Arabian Peninsula.
